Lagu ini kira-kira ngetop 4 taun yang lalu, yang nyanyi band-nya namanya Suede. Gue juga baru tau beberapa bulan yang lalu, gara-gara iseng-iseng buka-buka youtube, eh, ternyata lagunya enak juga.

Jadi, kali ini gue mutusin jadiin lagu ini jadi song of the month kali ini, kenapa? Pertama, keren gila, Kedua, pas lagi buka blogger tiba-tiba kengiang-ngiang aja lagu ini, Ketiga, lumayan menggambarkan perasaan gue akhir-akhir ini. Perasaan apa? IRI

Yap, gue ngiri. Sama orang yang bisa bersikap positif sementara bumi udah mau kiamat, buat orang yang bersikap positif padahal lagi ngalamin kerusuhan di Thailand, sama orang yang bersikap positif sama kehidupan yang seadanya dan pas-pasan. Aaargh, coba gua kayak gitu.

Menurut perspektif gue lagu ini ngegambarin tentang seseorang yang positif banget, selalu senyum, padahal miskin tapi penuh cinta, dia puas dengan apa yang ada, gak kenal takut, dan berani jadi dirinya sendiri. Enak banget jadi orang kayak gitu, tapi bahaya juga sih jadi orang kaya gitu, soalnya dunia gak bisa membalas kebaikan orang kayak gitu, dunia itu kejam!!

Pernah nonton happy-go-lucky? Ato setidaknya tau lah (gue juga belom nonton sih). Jadi ceritanya tentang cewek yang orangnya positif banget, dia selalu bahagia, percaya akan segala hal.

Gue juga gak terlalu tau sih gimana jalan ceritanya, ini juga gue tau dari acara show biz jaman kapan. Pokoknya garis besarnya gitu lah. Terus tapi (spoiler alert!) jadi endingnya itu agak dark, pokoknya gak hepi ending deh, ga tau juga sih gimana endingnya tapi intinya jadi menekankan kalo orang yang se-positif itu gak bisa diterima dunia ini, karena dunia ini kejam dan gak bisa dihadepin ama keluguan atau kebaikan, kita mesti licik dikit lah kalo mau survive.

Seperti biasa santo ngehighlight hal-hal yang ngena ke santo.

Menurut santo lagu ini nyeritain soal mimpi-mimpi, dunia khayalan, sama keberuntungan yang sebenernya cuma fatamorgana. Di sini si cewek (the "she") itu punya segalanya, ato mungkin nyiptain segalanya. Dia ngerajut banyak mimpi, yang sebenernya cukup mustahil. Dia udah terlena hidup mewah en serba ada, dia ngarepin kalo dewi fortuna selalu mihak dia, padahal gak bakal kayak gitu.

Nah, di part yang itu dia mulai ngerasain pahitnya kehidupan, kalo hidup itu gak bisa jalan sesuai yang dia mau, pasti ada pahitnya juga, gak mungkin manisnya doang. Jadi satunya satu-satunya jalan buat bahagia mesti kerja keras dulu, kalo mau ngebuild something mesti pake brick by boring brick. Mesti perlahan-lahan, gak bisa langsung jadi dan tiba-tiba semuanya langsung kollaps, kalo kayak gitu kan jadinya semu.

Dan soal mimpi, santo sadar kalo mimpi gak boleh kejauhan, mungkin waktu masih kecil wajar lah punya cita-cita yang tinggi, tapi lama-kelamaan kita bakal disadarin kalo mimpi mesti realistis, kalo bukan santo yang mutusin buat ngebunuh mimpi gak realistis itu, sooner or later life will kill it.

Okay, it's not about my lovelife whatsoever (i have no lovelife T T)
Tapi itu tentang masalah santo, yang santo juga gak yakin apa, mungkin depresi, mungkin mood disorders, mungkin perfeksionisme, atau mungkin emang personality santo yang kayak gini.
Abis kadang-kadang ngelakuin apa aja serba salah, rasanya pengen tiduran aja trus nangis sampe kebawa tidur, dan setelah bangun tiba-tiba rasanya udah bahagia banget, dan gak ada triggernya sama sekali.

Aneh kan? Bagi santo bad mood itu bisa tiba-tiba aja muncul, hal sesepele apapun bisa ngancurin mood gue, dan bisa juga nyembuhin lagi.
Semuanya jadi serbasalah, santo jadi males ketemu orang, soalnya pasti sesuatu bakal terjadi kalo ketemu manusia laen dan bakal ngancurin mood santo.
Aaargh, tapi kalo mood-nya lagi bagus malah jadi hiper, trus rasanya pengen ngomongin segala hal sama siapa aja.
Udah sering santo nyoba ngebunuh mood sendiri, biar mati rasa, trus maksain ngelakuin berbagai hal.
Kadang, pernah rasanya hampa banget. It's like i'm becoming a hollow man, walk around with no intention to do anything, nothing make me happy right at that point.
Yah, i guess that's my own problem that nobody really knows, especially myself. This life, i know that nobody has it easy, but do god makes it this hard for me?

That's it, my song of the month. I don't know why i chose this song, i'm not even ever saying any f word, but i'm just tired of all the sh't in this world, so i present this song for all the small-minded people with medieval range of thinking: "so long, fuckers"

Bond

Berhubung bentar lagi udah bulan puasa pertama-tama santo pengen minta maaf dulu ya kalo santo punya salah (dan salahnya itu banyak) dan bagi yang merasa punya salah sama santo, santo iklasin, santo maafin (mesti ada loh! awas aja lo ngaku gak punya salah sama gue).

Nah kali ini santo pengen ngomongin tentang bond (bukan james bond loh, bond doang) mereka itu kuartet musik klasik yang anggotanya campuran dari inggris sama ostrali. Santo baru buka website-nya dan ternyata mereka gak seperti yang santo bayangin, santo pikir tuh pemaen musik klasik kayak mereka itu jelek, mukanya pas-pasan, dll. Tapi ternyata bayangan santo langsung ilang setelah ngebuka website mereka dan ngeliat kalo ternyata mereka itu cakep-cakep en seksi-seksi, kesannya gak musik kasik banget gitu.

Tuh kan, jauh banget dari kesan klasik yang pasnya buat bapak-bapak berkumis. Emang sih secara teknis mereka gak bisa dibilang musisi klasik juga, orang di lagu-lagunya mereka banyak ngegunain synthesizer sama drum dan alat musik mereka juga bukan alat musik string kasik tapi udah yang elektrik. Tapi tetep aja untuk ukuran neo-classic mereka kerren banget.

Yah, gak bisa dipastiin si mereka beneran "ngegesek" apa nggak, bisa aja mereka "handsync" soalnya sumber suaranya juga kan dari speaker, tapi yang jelas performance mereka kerren banget. Mereka bisa ngebawa musik klasik yang identik dengan old-fashioned jadi gaya anak muda, apalagi mereka bisa ngebawainnya secara seksi lagi.

Ohoho, lagu kali ini melambangkan tindakan santo yang kayaknya selalu salah. Ngelakuin ini ngelakuin itu, kayaknya selalu salah aja. Kadang-kadang ada saatnya santo ngelakuin kesalahan dengan sengaja, gak tau kenapa, santo tau itu salah, santo tau itu absurd, tapi gak tau kenapa santo suka aja untuk tetep ngelakuin itu.

Santo tau kesalahan itu menghasilkan masalah, dan santo suka masalah. Masalah itu mungkin kalo diibaratin kayak sambel yah, semakin pedes semakin enak, tapi ada saatnya kita bakal berenti makan, trus megap-megap, nangis, trus minum air dulu. Dan seperti biasanya santo ngehighlight lirik yang pas sama perasaan santo, dan kali ini semuanya santo highlight soalnya kayaknya semuanya ngewakilin perasaan santo saat ini.

Lagu ini bisa dibilang bermakna buat santo sebagai sebuah pencarian jati diri, yaitu sesuatu yang santo masih lakuin sampe sekarang. Santo pernah mutusin buat ngeratapin nasib, ngekspresiin perasaan santo tanpa berusaha ngelawan. Santo juga pernah mutusin buat berusaha jadi anak gahol, tapi akhirnya ngerasa gak cocok gara-gara baju aja kegedean sementara kaos kaki juga gak ada yang pendek. Dan sekarang santo berusaha nerima diri santo apa adanya, berusaha jadi diri sendiri, yaitu orang yang lain daripada yang lain. But, diri sendiri is a big word. Santo gak tau apa yang dimaksud sama diri sendiri itu, jadi kita gak ngelakuin apa-apa sama diri kita gitu dan pasrah apa adanya? Gak ngerti juga.

Yang jelas santo sekarang berusaha ngelakuin improvement sama diri sendiri, dan berusaha gak lari dari masalah. Makanya ni lagu ngewakilin santo banget. Gotta chase my soul.
